Kunik was born from the sensitivity and passion of Francesca, its founder, who has always had a special bond with animals. The spark, however, truly ignited with the arrival of Apple and Betty, two unique souls who changed her daily life forever. From that moment, her love for them transformed into inspiration, driving her to imagine a new way to care for our four-legged companions.
The idea stems from a seemingly simple detail: a scent. A memory, a diary entry with "your forest scent..." written to describe Betty. From there, the realization that even a scent can hold an emotion, can bring to mind a happy moment, a gesture of care, a shared cuddle. It was like a thrill, a revelation that has never left her: "Why not create products that can capture this very magic? Products for pets that evoke emotions, safe, natural, and usable every day?"
There were many doubts, even more questions. But sometimes life seems to send clear signals. One of these came through the words of Federico Marchetti, founder of Yoox, read in an interview with Corriere della Sera:
